It’s not every day that you get the chance to be part of designing a whiskey recipe and hand crafting your own barrel of Whiskey. With The Colts Neck StillHouse experience and help this can become a reality! Your barrel will be dated and stamped with your name. The end result, your bottles of whiskey, will be sourced directly from your barrel and will carry your signature label – so there’s no other whiskey like yours.

What do you mean by "Design a Whiskey" recipe?

There are many types of whiskies: Bourbon, Corn, Malt, Rye, Wheat, Blended, Light, Spirit whiskey, Specialty Grains etc. We will discuss possible options with you and help you develop a recipe that meets your taste criteria. This recipe will be your own exclusive recipe and we will not share it with anyone else!

How long do I need to wait for my Whiskey to age?

We offer the option of ageing your whiskey anywhere between 2–3 years. Samples and evaluation report/recommendations will be sent to you every 6 months for as long as your whiskey is ageing. Or if you’d prefer you may visit and taste the Whiskey every 6 months.

Can I buy a barrel of whiskey now?

Yes, please contact us for more information.

Can I sell my Whiskey?

No. You need the proper license to resell your Whiskey.

Can anyone purchase a barrel of whiskey? Only if you are 21 years of age and older!

We only offer barrels to customers based in the U.S. but because alcohol laws are different for every state, delivery costs, taxes and delivery process may add more cost to the final price. Please bear in mind that whiskey cannot be re-sold without the proper license.

Can I be there when my whiskey is being produced?

YES! If you’re not local we can make arrangements for you to stay at a local Hotel during part or the whole production period and we will directly involve you in the production process of your barrel. Lodging costs are not included in the price but during the time you spend at the distillery food and drinks are covered. A detailed production schedule will be provided upon signing the contract. If for whatever reason you cannot be there during the production period we will make sure to take pictures/video of the entire process and send them to you. For more details please inquire below.

How long does the order/production process take?

We will start our Be The Distiller Program production in January 2020. All orders will be executed on a First Come First Serve basis. The amount of time required to produce a barrel of whiskey is approximately 2 weeks.

Can I personalize the bottles of whiskey from my barrel?

Yes, but some restrictions apply. The MuckleyEye logo has to be present along with other details about the type of spirit, origin etc. We will customize a sticker with the name of your release. The bottle type we offer is the Forte 750 ml and the label shape and graphics are pre-designed. If there is a need for a different presentation, a different label or bottle then additional expenses may apply.

How do I pick up my bottles?

State law allows us to sell up to 6 bottles per person. So, plan a party when it’s ready for pick up.
